Does the mirena IUD make you gain weight? Be honest I’m just curious because I’m getting it either way . I just want to know . What are your experiences with it ? :)

It can cause you to gain or lose. It has worked wonders for me i had for the full 5 years after my daughter and i just got another one put in. In my previous experience i lost some wieght my skin cleared up my periods stopped and i forgot i even had it in after a while. I just got another one put in on tuesday ☺

I lost weight with mine. My skin cleared up a lot though ☺️ although I have weird pains in my ovaries. I know the iud can cause ovarian cysts, that go away oh it’s own, but other that then it great

I like the iud. I didn’t loose weight tho, I wish I did. It feels like nothing is even their. You hardly get periods. The thing I like about it is you can have it on for 5 years. I’m almost at 4 years. I’m hoping by next year I’ll take it off.

I’ve gained since getting mine 2 & 1/2 months ago, along with other horrible side effects. I’m getting mine removed in a few days.
