Nothing drives me up the wall..... as a developmental delay early childhood education teacher when I hear parents say... “ my child didn’t have autism until they ate dairy” like no. It is not the food it’s not!!! I’m so glad the program I work for has different ways for parents to look up and learn more about it....

🙁I can't imagine what autism parents go through. Its so easy to blame something sometimes.

I think my sisters daughter has autism and I can't bring myself to say anything for fear of offending her.... I'm always researching and seeing if my son is meeting his milestones if I have concerns I bring it up to his dr... but I know not all parents are as proactive and I don't want to start a fight ☹️

It annoys me, too! My oldest has autism and I constantly get well meaning people saying “it’s the vaccines” “it’s the food he eats” “ it’s something you ate while pregnant” 🙄 no, he was just born that way.

My 2 sons are autistic, High functioning. My little brother is 3 and is showing more of a delay that my sons did, I made a comment to my mom the other day and I got yelled at. Atleast I tried

Just from being a preschool teacher, I know it’s hard for most parents to accept and as stated in another comment it is easy for them to blame other things.. but they are just born this way! I absolutely LOVE autistic babies! They are so sweet!! And it’s so much fun working with them! It just drives me insane.. I literally had one parent who refused dairy products for her child cause she swears that’s why he has autism. I myself don’t like to mention it to parents... if I ever do I always just tell them it’s something they should watch for!
