My midwife/ob tells me that the baby doesn't move around as much because lack of room as she gets bigger but I still worry ALL THE TIME. Everyday after work, I drink about 2 ice cold cups of OJ and lay down until I feel 10 kicks within the allotted time. My 9 year old was born at 27 weeks so this whole end of pregnancy is totally new to me and freaks me out. 😔
@sassybitch I solemnly feel her during the day. I'm a letter carrier so I'm walking ALL day delivering mail and packages. I worry all the time. It bugs me that I have to drink OJ just to get this girl to actively move and put my mind at ease.
I know how you feel. This is something that I worry about too. I actually feel more movement now towards the end but it varies, some days she’s more active than others.
I think it's not that they don't move around as much, but their movements are less forceful because they don't have as much room to rev up their kicks and punches. Like, they're doing more rolls and slow stretches rather than dancing on your kidneys or flailing around.
What your midwife told you is true and perfectly normal. Also, babies are more likely to be active when you are resting and sleeping when you're active.
Thanks for all the comments ladies. So I notified my fiance about my worries and concerns, and apparently my little miss loves to move a lot at night while I'm basically dead 😅😂 I did not know that. I don't feel her when I'm k.o'd.
