What is a molar pregnancy? 🤔

@njgriffin to be honest with you, I have no idea. I've never been through that. My best bet is to go to the hospital and get checked out.

It’s pretty complex. There’s a partial molar pregnancy and a complete molar. Complete molar happens when a sperm fertilized an empty egg. A placenta will form but no baby. A partial molar happens when two sperm fertilize one egg. So this baby now has 69 chromosomes instead of 46. The baby will form but will likely die in utero. They do consider this a miscarriage. Very unlikely (but possible) the baby can grow until over 20 weeks which would then be considered a still birth

Yep! My ultrasounds showed signs of it, but it was confirmed until after my baby died. With molar pregnancies, a common sign is extremely high HCG levels.

@kellynicole, cos I had a miscarriage about 3 weeks ago and it’s just hard to accept cos I have religious with my birth control. Iv never had a miscarriage before so I had no idea what was going on. They did ultrasound and confirmed it was a miscarriage but I’m still in denial 🙁

Did they say something about molar pregnancy?
