My little guy will be one month on Saturday. All he does is scream. The doctors say he’s colicky. But it’s all day and night lately. He seems really gassy. I got mommy bliss gas drops. They don’t seem to help. Anyone else experiencing anything like this? Any suggestions? I’m so burnt out and I feel so bad I can’t figure out how to help him.

Colic isn’t just a term for “crying babies” like everyone thinks it is. It’s a gastro issue that causes babies to cry non stop. It’s very painful, so you’re correct about being gassy. Horses and other livestock/large animals that have colic can be fatal. I know the crying is stressful, but it’ll be okay.
When my son was little, we gave him warm baths, and after that we would lie him on his back and lotion him up with calming lotion, and we would massage his belly. That’s going to help get the gas out. After the massage, we moved his legs in a sitting position, and pushed them up, and that pushed the gas out.

@kellywidener820, so if it is a gas issue, it could be something that you are eating. More than likely diary related. Not always, but that could be the cause of his discomfort.
