Ladies need your opinions. I have a 9 month that seems to cry the whole way home everything I put him in a car seat. His nanny started putting cartooms for him on her his phone to calm him down. I now want to purchase a tablet for him just to entertain him on the ride home. But his dad disaprroves stating he is too young which I agree but those long rides home of crying drives me nuts. I don't want to raise my child in front of a screen with little to no human interaction as our society today. Any opinions.

I'm not one of those mom that avoids screen time. I placed my Kindle fire on the backseat headrest using velcro and let Lily watch a YouTube video of kaleidoscope colors, some with red and black dots (great for baby brain development) with lullaby music. Not technically a cartoon and most definitely helped her stay calm on car rides. If anything it put her to sleep.

Im not one for letting kids use phones or tablets, its just my opinion though. My son cries to when we go for drives sometimes we just turn on some music takes him a while to settle but he usually calms down and falls asleep. Both my sons really liked music my older son fell asleep to metallica lol my baby falls asleep to black label society 😊. Experiment with different music.

My baby has always had TVs and tablets and isn’t glued to them whatsoever. Maybe yours will be different because it is a new experience but I love electronics and have no issue with them. She plays more with toys than anything. She’s honestly not that interested in them since they’re always around. The only time she’s into them is when she’s very tired and has been playing a lot.. so when she’s nodding out for a nap. During the daytime, for her little cat naps, I actually put her in her momaroo and let her watch the heybaby videos on YouTube. They’re very soothing and I dim the iPad light all the way down so it’s not bright & keeping her up. At night, she sleeps in her crib with no electronics so it doesn’t effect night time sleep. Again, not sure if your child will react different but mine really doesn’t depend on them or care for them more than other things.
