What do you mean? You don't have to sit and play with them constantly. It's actually good for them to lay on the floor and entertain them selves with a little activity mat. Or in a bouncer that has a toy bar on it. Of course don't leave them by themselves though lol.
We don't have to entertain a baby. A baby entertains itself by just wondering their eyes around the room and looking at all the colors and learning to hold things with different textures and listening to soothing music or gentle sounds like birds chirping, etc. I would place Lily in a swing near my windows and let her look out toward the trees. I have a tree near my window and she would look at the birds and listen to the chirping. She had these soft cloth books with different textures I would give her to play with. We would read the books and I would put symphony music on for her to listen to. Tummy time on a soft rug with a play mat that made noises. Take walks in the park!
@raelene_g so imagine if someone picked you up and dropped you in a foreign place and all you could do was sit and look. That would still be entertaining because everything is new to see.
@raelene_g She has a tiny little brain with lots of neurons and receptors growing and developing everyday. Just looking at a ceiling fan can be pure entertainment for her.
