I know your mucus plug grows back but how many times are you supposed to lose it before there is a need for concern? Or just be concerned if its blood with it or cramping? Ive lost mine multiple times and I'm onky 26 weeks one time it had a pink tinge to it but wasnt bright red. Idk if I should be concerned that I'm dilating now and not just shortening because I have so much discharge all of a sudden and keep losing the plug.

If you're overly concerned, it's best to contact your doctor and let him/her know what's going on

You should call your doctor and make an appointment for good measure!

If you lose water that's the time to be concerned.

@momofboys3, honestly your doctor is going to know your situation better than us. And I would say it’s not overreacting if you call!

@momofboys3, you should call your OB. They may want to check it out!

@masseymomma16 @princessrose the only reason I am concerned is because I have short cervix and the pink tinge was last week but we rarely have sex because of it

My doctor cared nothing about the mucus plug. Only concern was if it was accompanied by fluid after or contractions.

I would only be concerned if it has blood. When did you have the pink tinge to it? I would ask your doctor. Sex can irritate your cervix too so that might be why it’s coming out more or is a little bloody. But I would call and ask to be sure.
