VENT: My mom is coming from Texas today to Cali to see her grandson for the first time!! In my opinion she should of been here when I had him early at 26 weeks & I was in so much pain & down or at least when she knew he was so tiny and had to have heart surgery 😩😭😢😫 I went thur it all with out my mom being by my side & it is true no matter how old you get sometimes you just need your mother. I begged her to come & told her I needed her & she said I can’t make it I have a Huge Birthday party the family is given me in Mississippi 🤨😕😤😤😒😭😶 I thought I was strong before but after she told me that I became stronger for myself and my son & was beside him every day in the NICU for those 3 months...She will be here for a month & at the end of the day I’m happy I was able to make her a “Granny” or G’Ma as she wants to be called!! 🙄& I’m happy my son gets to meet her because life is short✔️ But I still feel some type of way deep down!!! 😔 My goal is not to even bring it up to hear again. 🤷🏾♀️& enjoy the time they have together!!!

When I had my son at 23 weeks, my MIL didn’t come. At first, my husband told her not to because we didn’t know if he would survive. He was in shock and wanted to spare her. However, she lost a child - she should have known better that he really needed her. After a week or so, I texted her and said DH needs you. We will fly you out. She used every excuse in the book. She didn’t bother coming until he was 3 months old and then bitched the whole time that her ex met our baby first 😒🙄 long story short - she is no longer in our lives as it was evident that my husband and our kids were only a convenience and their relationships were not healthy.

She couldn't of known you were gonna give birth early as much as you didnt know and maybe she thought of it like it would be too hard on her to see her grandson like that and would rather come when he is healthy and she is able to hold him and love on him properly. It's a very hard situation to deal with and I'm very happy to hear your son is doing good and that she will now get to enjoy spending time with her grandson.

@laniejay, thank you mommy for sharing your story so I know you feel my pain. And we have no money problem my mom doesn’t have a money problem I offered and I really needed her and she told me I have a bday party 😭 in all I know she just loves different then I do. She always has. I love her but I don’t agree with her. She made it and was excited to see my son and I’m ok with that.
