For the past couple of weeks Bellamy has been having all of the signs of a milk allergy. He’s now eating enfamil prosobee, a soy based formula and has been doing A LOT better. We’re giving it a week to try out the new lacto-free formula, and if it continues to work we’re going to have to give all this free enfamil newborn and infant formula away. 😅😣🙃

@ella_j_heart, my SO’s dad is friends with one of the nurses that cared for me during my induction so she gave us free formula whenever she saw us. 😅 We didn’t expect B. to have a milk protein allergy 4 months after birth. 😩

that is a lot of milk! Maybe you can find a mommy here who uses the same one for her baby and you can send her some, idk it’s just a thought and something i would do.

@denisse.m, I know! We thought we were set till he can have whole milk, but nope. Bellamy just had to go and throw a curve ball at us. 😅 There’s a mom on here who lives in the Bronx and is pregnant, but I don’t remember her username. 🙃

@ella_j_heart, He was good with the regular enfamil till 3 months. 2 weeks after turning 3 months he started pooping 6-8 times a day instead of once or twice. He was also having loose, watery, mucus like stools and a diaper rash along with it. His pediatrician told us on Saturday at his 4 month check up to try giving him a lacto-free formula, so he recommended enfamil prosobee, and he’s been a lot better since the switch. His rash is finally going away, his frequent poops are going down, and his stool is back to normal color and consistency. 🙃

If you can't find anyone to donate too try a women's shelter or a shelter for children. They are always in need of formula for babies.
