How to Cope with Anxiety and Depression While Husband is Away?
Ladies who have depression/anxiety.
My husband is currently going through an academy and is away from home. He can come home during the weekend which helps... He has four more weeks left. I need help with ways to reduce the anxiety and depression. I had severe depression and anxiety before I was pregnant and I feel like with him being away it sparks right back up.. My doctor told me to stop taking my medicine when I found out. I have tried to toughen it out but it’s becoming unbearable honestly. It’s to the point where I don’t want to be around anyone... I have no appetite to eat either. My doctor for some reason has an issue with prescribing the medicine for me. I just feel like it’s something you don’t take lightly. I know my limit with what I can handle and I feel like I’m there. ☹️

What medicine are you on? I took my anxiety meds all through pregnancy and I’m continuing to do so through breast feeding. My doctor okay’ed it

@lincolnsmommy18, I take lexapro. It’s completely safe during pregnancy!

@first_time_mom_in_ky, I go to my next appointment Tuesday and I’m taking my mom with me so she can tell the doctor that I have to be put on something. I just want to sleep 24/7 and not see daylight. It’s miserable. I know I need to be strong for my son but it’s so hard. I just feel like a bad mom feeling this way🙁

@lincolnsmommy18, don’t feel bad!!!!!!! I felt awful because I was “on meds” and I didn’t want to lean on them because I felt like I shouldn’t be on medication while pregnant. But they said they were safe and there were very little side effects. Just know you aren’t the only one! It’s better to be on safe medication than to stress baby out with anxiety.
