Depends on the hospital. I wasn’t allowed to change mine until we were discharged.

We didn’t bathe him for 24 hours, so I left him in the hospital clothes.

I didn’t only because they came in a lot to check babies vitals and their umbilical cord shouldn’t have anything tight. So I waited until the day we left to change my kiddos

I changed my kids clothes shortly after they were cleaned up. I think I waited until I was up and moving around. Just make sure it's not something too tight. A simple sleeper or something because when they come to check vitals they might not be happy if they have to completely take baby's clothes off lol.

I don’t because they get taken off every time someone needs to check anything on baby and the first couple of days the stains baby is going to make are just clothes ruining stains

@michellemybell09 Same. I think they did mention the little shirt he was in provided quick access, he was otherwise swaddled in a receiving blanket when he wasn't being changed or we weren't oohing and ahhing over him so I didn't really see the point lol

I think so. As long as it is an easy access kind of for them. Because they're gonna be coming to your room to check the baby every now and then.
