Doggy mommas I need advice. The foster home my puppers was staying in for the last month was giving him a lot of human food. Anybody have tips or tricks to get him back to eating his dog food?

Cold turkey. He probably won't like it very much. Maybe mix a little wet food in with his food. I've had to do this with my mom's dog because she will literally make him his own plate of food. My granny had to do it with her dog because the previous owners just fed her human food and she ended up with diabetes. Good luck though.

It may be hard but give him a few days and don’t worry if he skips a meal or two. Once he’s hungry enough he will learn he eats his own food and not yours.

@gorgeousmay42217, it’s safe for her to miss a few days worth of food but trust me he’ll get hungry ! Just leave it out for him to eat when he finally gets hungry. It’s kind of tough love but He just has to learn a new way.
