Get any beginner credit card you can. They all have the same rate amounts mostly. Your interest might be high though. Best to get one from someone you already bank with as you already have a relationship with the bank.

@kambam, okay thank you I’ll call my bank tomorrow and ask about it! At this point anything will help, we’re just looking to boost our credit over this next year or so, and we don’t plan on maxing it out either just enough so we can pay it off the following month and repeat. That much I did understand lol

You can also become an authorized user on some else's card. Husband, family etc. That way you don't have to get a card but you can use it and build credit.

Good for you to both apply then and see who will get the better interest rate - just in case. Then one of you can be authorized . Just an idea so you can both do it together.

Yeah of course. Just means you'll both be using it and building credit, probably at a slower rate. But if you don't have an income your rates could be different. That's why I suggested hubby get one and you get added on. If you were to have 22% interest and slip up one month that's basically 22$ extra. Anything could happen so I would suggest trying for the lowest interest possible
