@newlyironman, our generation has lived through a war and the recession and still have to deal with the fact that we can get a job without having some form of college. And same with houses.. my grandpa tells me how he bought a house for a couple thousand dollars that was a two bedroom house in a good neighborhood.. and he’s only 70.. inflation hasn’t went up that much! You can barely rent a two bedroom house for a thousand a month!
@newlyironman, that wasn’t meant as a negative comment towards you 😞 sorry if it came across that way.. just sucks.. my man and I have been house hunting for a year and can’t even find a house in a good neighborhood that we can afford and he is a cpa that makes over 70k a year...
My grandparents bought their house in the late 50s for $14,000. We sold it last year for over half a million. Now you buy a house and are hopefull that when you sell you can get back what you paid! We bought our house in December...for $15k LESS than they had paid for it in 2003.

Generations that also dealt with wars fought via drafts, segregation and civil rights fights, lack of accessible knowledge ect.
They were raised by people went through the great depression....
