Depends on the question!

@like.a.boss, It’s been three days of abdominal pain, towards the upper left part of my stomach in particular. It started off just randomly hurting a little, then eating or even drinking anything caused a lot of pain, until eventually if I applied pressure it would hurt. Now my stomach is really bloated and (tmi) it was almost impossible for me to go during a recent bowel movement because it cause my entire abdomen to be in so much pain. But then the pain will subside and occasionally flare up during the day. So my question is, do you think this is something I should make a doc appt for or am I just being a worry wart lol? Also side note, a few months back I was told I’m at high risk for kidney stones but this doesn’t feel like my kidneys at all, and doesn’t feel like constipation pain either. I hate making unnecessary appointments lol that’s why I ask.

@like.a.boss, I’m actually in a significant amount of pain right now. About a 5. My husband keeps telling me I just need to poop but it honestly feels like contractions😂💀

@thequeen, honestly if you hurt that bad I’d go to urgent care to be seen

To start, upper left abdominal pain is pancreas. However, if you have high risk of stones, I would lean toward associated kidney stone pain instead.
Are you pregnant? Is the pain relieved when you press on it? How are your bowel movements? (Feel free to not answer that on a public forum if you don’t want to).
Diagnosis aside, yes, I think you should make an appt with your primary care.

I had my gallbladder removed and it sounds like that might be what it is! But I would totally go to an urgent care to be sure!

@adalinesmommy, The extreme pain has subsided so I made an appointment for tomorrow but if it returns tonight then definitely going to urgent care! Thank you for the advice!
