Opinons please:
How soon would you tell an temporary employer that you are pregnant, whom you likely won't be eligible for any [paid leave] during the maternity period but likely they would give you some time off or at least eligibility to return in the future - and they can't see you anyway - and may judge you based on you're pregnancy regarding potential conversion, that would lead to paid materniry leave or at the minimum unpaid leave...knowing you will likely be induced between November 4 - 13th?

If it's only temporary employment why would you need to disclose your situation?

@tyrellp It's temporary to permanent position, that can take anywhere from 3 months to 2 years to be hired permanently. Right now I'm employed through a staffing agency.

So inform the staffing agency
angelfoodcake·
@tyrellp The staffing agency will have to be informed regardless, but my thing is formalities and prevention of not being converted prior too leave due to me revealing pregnancy..... Ideally I'm hoping to be converted before I need to leave.

Would your pregnancy affect your work?
angelfoodcake·
@tyrellp And, thats another thing ideally I would like to continue work, maybe just take a 1-2 weeks off IF I'M NOT CONVERTED because we need the money, I can work part time and it's remote.

I was dealing with the same thing I was threw a temp agency and it took at least 3 months to get hired in but I told them I was pregnant. And I got let go from 4 jobs because I was pregnant. Then they found me the job I have now and its perfect for being pregnant I work at an outdoor pool I can swim if I want to. So maybe ask them to give you something you can do and you know you won't get let go from and get your 90 days in
angelfoodcake·
@jennygrant955 It's 90 days to 2 years though to go permanent 😮
Jennyg51397·
And this job ends a month before I'm due so its great I have time to get everything together. They should work with you
Jennyg51397·
@angelfoodcake maybe dont worry about getting hired in at the moment just work as long as you can. And if you do get hired in in 90 days then great. But do you plan on going back to work in 6 weeks after the baby is born. In not
angelfoodcake·
@jennygrant955 I am willing to go back to work after a week as part time. it's a remote position, we need the money.
Jennyg51397·
@angelfoodcake wow I would never be able to go to work a week later but this is my first so
angelfoodcake·
@jennygrant955 Did I mention we need the money, lol? Seriously it's a remote position, I'm sitting down and it would be part time while my husband is home to care for the baby during those hours. Only reason is durable because I'm at home. Any other situation I would take off 6 minimum and ideally 12 weeks, really I would love to take a year off 🤣
