When was the earliest and oldest age you put your baby/toddler in a toddler bed with a rail?

We switched our son a few months ago so right before he turned 2 he learned to crawl out but we just put his bed in the floor he still sleeps super crazy so we don’t want him falling out and getting hurt

I put my son in a twin bed with a rail at 11 months

Mine are 2 and still in cribs but one has recently got a taste for a big girl bed so we will probably transfer think year sometime

My first just switched from crib to toddler bed a little over 2 1/2.

We tried last week and it failed. We'll try again in a few months. A friend's daughter was nearly three.

My DD was just over 3

Thank you everyone! My 1 year old is still in my eyes not ready. Feel he will not feel comfortable. I might need to buy another crib :)

@mombie., this would be my kid probably falling out or running out.

@mama.ally2009, yeah mine sleeps on the floor most nights lol and he has no toys or anything in his room well it’s all in his closet but not where he can get to or he would never sleep.

Honestly I didn’t think mine was ready and honestly I miss the crib but with him getting out we had to but we were living at my in laws at the time when he learned and he had to stay in a crib there place was not baby proof for him so we went to Walmart bought the over sized pool noodles and taped the on the top so he couldn’t get out it was funny but anywho you know best I think he is fine if you want him to stay in the crib unless he can crawl out.

@mombie., yeah once he starts crawling out I’ll have a different problem lol back up toddler bed already in.
