Well just know you can deny a c section if it isn't medically necessary. Ask them to induce you first. There's no reason they can't try that before just jumping to a c section. C sections come with a lot of risks.

@dessii3321 oh man. There's no reason to get a c section if you dont dilate... You're only 38 weeks. I didn't dilate any until I was 41 weeks 3 days. I went into labor that night. Are you high risk or anything?

Unless they have a medical reason I'd refuse if I were you. Sounds like someone just doesnt want to deal with helping you along or waiting. You're only 38 weeks. Some people dont dilate until 40 or after. Due dates are just guesses and rarely right.

Why do you have to have a c section if you don't dilate by then?
