That sounds normal. They gain weight rapidly at the end.

@sandraluvx, don’t worry my baby was measuring small she was 6lbs 3oz when she was born so she was a small baby but she was very healthy and had no problems 😊

@sandraluvx, Don’t let them worry you. If your doctor was concerned he/she would’ve said so. Babies gain approximately 1/2 lb a week at the end, so another 3 weeks would be closer to 7 lbs

@ek620, my doctor hasn’t got back to me yet. he did tell me weeks ago that she would be small like my daughter since she was only 6 pounds. But yes there’s still time so I’m hoping she packs some more on as the weeks go by.

Don’t stress. All babies are different. The ultrasound is a BEST estimate but not exact.

My 4th baby was 5 lbs 11 oz at 36 weeks and a few days. They gain weight the more they are inside.. If your OB isn’t worried try not to let what people say bother you.

The weight can be off by 1 or 2 lbs from an ultrasound

@brownsugarluv, yeah I’m only worried cause he hasn’t got back to me since I just had the appointment today and it takes up to 2days for him to get back. But I’m not going to make it a big deal unless he has something different to say.

My son was born at 39 weeks and he was 5 lbs 1 oz at birth. My daughter was 5 lbs 13 oz at the same gestational age. They were both perfect.

Don't stress it cause they will tell you one thing and it could be another but as long as the baby over 5 lbs everything is OK I went two weeks ago and my munchkin was 5lbs2oz but your baby still have time to gain some more

My son was born at 38 weeks and he came out and weighed 5lbs 15 oz.. so I couldn’t blame the 50lbs I gained during pregnancy on him 😂

my son was born at 39 weeks and he weighed 5lbs 12oz

My second was estimated 6 -6.5 lbs and she was born 8lbs 5oz. They aren’t always rite

My first was born at 5 lbs 6oz at 38 weeks so I think yours is a pretty normal weight right now.

Mine weighed 7lbs 6oz at 36 weeks 6 days
