I did epi with my first. Going natural this time around !

You should be able to feel your contractions, your contractions are what is pushing baby out. When you get the epi you just listen to the doctor say push push ! If your body isn't ready you are more likely to tear. I hated the feeling of having no control over my body it shouldn't be something that's happening to you it's something you are doing. @hippiemummy, I actually had a third degree tear from not having the epidural. My first birth I couldn’t even feel a contraction while pushing due to getting the epidural and I also didn’t like that

I had an epidural 12 hours into a 25 hour labor. It wore off and I felt a lot of my pushing but not all. Maybe see how it goes and see how quickly thing progress.

This is my first but we are choosing to go completely natural. No meds, no epidural, vaginal delivery. (Though we are aware that we can't control everything so keeping that in mind too.

@alaiyasmommy, The needle isn’t bad it just numbs the body from waist down and I don’t like not being able to feel my legs after birth
