As a first time mom labor is awful... went in at 8:30 on July 9th they broke my water at 1pm I made it all the way to 6-7 cm dilated on my own no epidural but after about 2am on July 10th I had to give in and get the epidural because the contractions go so bad I almost went into an asthma attack well that wore off with 3 hours And then I got even more out back in which didn’t work at all my body had rejected it. So around 6am (July 10th) they told me I haven’t dilated at all since the last time they checked me which was 5pm the day before so they told me at 7:30 that the best option was to have a c-section and it would be safer for the baby. So at 9:38 I herd the best thing in the world and that was the cry of my baby oh and a doctor saying omg he is so big lol
So at 9:38 July 10th my Oliver Anthony Tussey was born at 9lbs 12oz and 22in long and he is the most wonderful baby and so healthy also looks just like his momma lol . I just wanted to share my story of my first baby 💙

That is pretty similar to my experience with my first, and I did end up with c section also after 16hrs of no progression! The healing process is brutal but it's so worth it to have that sweet little baby... Congratulations. I have 47 more days until scheduled c section with baby number two. Hoping SCHEDULED is easier than emergency c section, and I hear it is a lot easier the second time around. I am not even scared just ready to not be pregnant anymore. Just make sure you take your pain meds as they advise you to do so, and don't try to be super mom and not take them... The pain is so bad if you let it get bad. I weaned myself off as soon as possible with ibuprofen and tylenol together, but put myself in EXCRUCIATING pain on multiple occasions by trying not to take the pain meds so I could be more aware for baby 😖 take your meds! Lol

9lbs 12oz... That is a big healthy baby 😀 my son was a month early and still 8lbs 10oz!!!

@babymay2016, I basically went 24 hours in labor I was screaming and crying it was the worst pain I have ever felt in my life if I ever do have another baby I will do a schedule c-section because there is no way I ever wanna go through that again like at all.@babymay2016, yeah when we got him measured he was 8lbs and 9oz and everyone was like no he won’t be that big so don’t worry... 😂 nope he was bigger lol but he is so healthy and such a good baby like he eats good breastfeeding and bottle (all the meds I was on made it impossible to actually breastfeed) and he sleeps like he is supposed to and only cry’s when hungry or needs a change lol that’s it @leroydoom, thank you :)
