Tomorrow, Nate and I are leaving for the weekend on a little staycation. This will be the first time I’ve left Sage. It is my official weaning trip. My body has helped sustain life outside of my own for 5 full years now without a break (since nursing Remy and my pregnancy with Sage overlapped). I am feeling very ready to have my body to myself for a little while before we are ready for another little babe. Sage isn’t ready and I know this is going to be hard for him but he is going to be so cuddled and loved while we are gone. I am really enjoying these last few time of our nursing journey together. We laid in bed extra long this morning and I soaked up every little bit of him. I feel like this is the last little bit of his babyhood I am letting go of. It’s bittersweet.
