Hi! I had Cholestasis with my first pregnancy but I found out late (37 weeks). They induced me at 38. Since you're 33 weeks they will closely monitor you for the next few weeks if you get the confirmed diagnosis. Most women get induced at 37 or 38 weeks.

I had it with two out of my 4 pregnancies

@skyy12221, so if after my blood test they say everything is normal I’m fine? Should they do any other testing ? I need to stay off google

@kaileymason33 lol google is the worst place to get information haha but if everything is normal you are fine. I swore I had it with my second child cause I was itchy but everything was fine with no further testing.

I had it with both mine...didn't know until after my second pregnancy. Don't be scared it's really not that bad

The worst it can cause is having the baby poop before birth. My first did that, both of my babies are perfectly healthy though 😊and the itchiness after birth can be pretty bad

@missheatherbaby I heard you have a high chance to get it again if you've had it with at least one, every one after that is a high chance to get it again. Were the 2 times back to back or spaced out?

Keep an eye out. Can cause still birth due to high bile acids associated with ICP. I had it with my 1st hope not to get it again. I was induced at 36 weeks. Hope I am ok this time around. Other than the itchiness mom is fine. If it's very serve they might prescribe medication. ICP will resolve itself once u deliver. Keep us posted!

I didn't have it that bad. I probably got it the last four weeks of my pregnancy and I had my first at 38 weeks my second at 39 weeks. My hands were just itchy and I never mentioned it to my doctor then after birth I was super itchy so they ran the test

@a.lares, I had no idea it could cause still births! That's fucking terrifying!! I had no idea I even had it both times dude wow 😳 I thought itchiness was normal

@ecahanes, as long as mom is keeping up with her doctor she should be okay. She is still early and like @skyy12221, mentioned if she does have it she will be monitored the remainder of her pregnancy and will likely be induced. The important part is to catch it. Even if it's negative now she can always request they check again further along her pregnancy just to be safe.

@a.lares, oh ya definitely she should be just fine. @kaileymason33, just know it's pretty rare for anything terrifying to happen. Relax I'm sure everything will be just fine my dear 😊
