Any tips or tricks to ease colic? My baby has been having fits of crying that only happens at night…

Use the Phillips avent bottle and enfamil neuro pro gentlease my daughter screamed bloody murder for weeks straight I mean never stoped she didn’t sleep and neither did I I switched and she doesn’t cry unless she’s hungry no the formula is made for Colik gas and fussiness

@kristahuff99, the gentlease definitely didn’t make her do this we are on wic so I’ve switched to similac and it seems like she just cries and cries now. I’ll probably go out tomorrow and stock up on the gentlease. We use the avent but it doesn’t seem like it helps at all she still gets super gassy sometimes. I’ve done everything to try and help her and the only thing that really works is driving around but once we stop she starts screaming so bad she goes hoarse, I hate seeing her like this.

@cjl020415, I didn’t mean the gentlease made her like that I meant that when I put my daughter on it within 2 feedings she wasn’t crying anymore I have 2 kids and both of mine were super colicky my son we have gas drops my girl they won’t work it really helps if you feed him/her sitting up and make sure you burp for a long time I mean I’ve had to burp my 9 week old for 50 minutes before but it’s worth it because if you get it all out it’s better also try switching bottles seriously if she’s getting that much air it may be a bad latch my daughter took the other bottles but she was grumpy because when she’s eating you can hear sometimes the latch let loose and their was air try a different nipple 🙃

@kristahuff99, oh no I meant she used to be on enfamil gentlease and she never had an issue until we switched to similac, she did fine the first week on the advance so I didnt even think about it being the formula. I’ve got the nuk air reducing bottles I just started this afternoon, she was breastfed so I’m sure that has something to do with the latch. Thanks for the tips!

@cjl020415, your welcome and you were breastfeeding that’s a lot different so it may be her latch letting loose letting air in that how mine was sometimes if you pull his/her lip over so it’s flat it’s helpful

Try a Happi Tummi wrap. My baby has reflux (the box days it's for colic too) & we've been using it for a couple days now & it's helped my son a lot.

A probiotic helped my daughter. It was the same with her. Every evening for 3 months.

Similac is just an awful formula. My first at colic and after 2-3 months of similac advance and then soy, I put her on gerber soothe and she was a completely different baby. Now my 7 weeks old has been having real bad gas. Just got transitioned to similac soy today and seems like her gas is worse. I really can’t afford to be buying formula again so I’m praying to god this soy works

@capricorn_mommy_14, oh I know I am switching to enfamil and stopping her wic, my twins took enfamil and nothing else I never had an issue with them getting gassy or colicky. I hate the fact similac doesn’t have the same things the regular enfamil has anyway, it’s definitely not as good in my opinion.

@cjl020415, and many people have had issues with similac all around but yet that is really the only formula that is wic approved unless there is some sort of condition with a child. It’s pathetic really.

@capricorn_mommy_14, I know so many people rely on wic and they just give them whichever formula gives them the best deal, the soy was awful for my baby and those are the only two offered. I’m going back to work next week so it won’t be so hard to switch her but it will still put us tight since it’s so expensive
