At 15 weeks you're in your 4th month of pregnancy but you have not completed 4 months. For instance the chart shows one month at week 1-4. Obviously you're not a month pregnant at 1 week. At the end of the 1-4 weeks you are 1 month pregnant. If you have an average 28 day cycle it is easiest to count months from the first day of your last period.
@jessig2006, I have an irregular cycle but the ultrasound tech said the easiest way for me to keep track would be that every Monday I’ll be a new week... so based on my first appointment I’d be 15 weeks today. I just got confused because some sites are saying 3 1/2 and some are saying 4.
The sites are awful and will definitely screw you up. Alot of ladies will count a month as 4 weeks (which is only true in February every other month has more then 28 days in it) but it gets you a little closer to an actual month. If you do the 4 weeks = 1 month then you'd be 4 months at 16 weeks. Its definitely alot harder to tell when you're irregular and it sucks! P.S. congratulations on the pregnancy!!! 💙💗
@jessig2006, Thank you so much... it’s definitely confusing. Hopefully it gets a little better. I’m keeping up with the actual weeks but not the calculation of the months based on the weeks. I do remember the ultrasound tech saying something like this to me though so you are absolutely correct.
