Just hit 27 weeks and I am soooo tired I don't think I was even this tired in the first trimester

Have you gone for your gd testing yet? I think that's about the time they test your iron also. They say if your iron is low it can cause you to be tired. I am already supplementing my iron (I became anemic with our second) so I am hoping that's not it but it would be nice to have an explanation as to why no matter how much I sleep I am still exhausted. Almost 11 hours last night and I barely made it through today!

Is gd the glucose testing? I just took mine last week and failed the one hour with 135... I haven't gone for the 3 hour yet. I have iron in my prenatals do you think I should be taking more? I had someone else tell me it could be my iron levels too so I definitely want to look into that. I can't imagine being this tired everyday the remaining 13 weeks! I'm right there with you I sleep so much and no matter how much I sleep I'm still so exhausted.

Yes the gd testing is the glucose test. I'm doing mine today 😣 lol. I would definitely ask your doctor about possibly needing to add an iron supplement. If they do think you should start it make sure to take it at a different time of day then the prenatals. It sounds so silly because the yes most if the prenatals include iron in them but apparently there is something in them that can block the absorption if the iron in them. I take my prenatal when I wake up and iron before bed.

@jessig2006, Oh wow I never thought of that! Thanks! And good luck on your testing! I haven't gotten a call from my doctor yet saying I failed but I was right on the cutoff at 135 so I'm kind of expecting it 😫
