Pump, make more milk to be able to get a supply going. But I always used mine when going out or work cuz harder 2 nurse when out n about.

I second @alyssa5792 advice. Pumping too early, unless necessary, can cause SO many issues.

I wish - I’m not sure I have that luxury, I just pump to relieve the pressure and so my babe can latch easier, if they are overly full she struggles.
