For the second time in two days, my almost 6 month old has puked and then choked on his puke, once lying on his back and once while upright, being burped. Both times he's choked we've had to flip him over and pat his back in order to get him to breathe. Can't figure out why this is happening. It's only with dad, and he's becoming paranoid, which I don't blame him. Sounds scary.

@kristahuff99 @nicemmcha2015 he's always been fussy and pukey, but when he was 1mo - 2mo I gave him the heart burn meds for reflux and they didn't make a difference at all. What has helped you?

@halifax6 you probably need stronger meds. My sisters little girl couldn't take raditine. She needed name brand nexum because the other wasn't strong enough. Take him back and tell them the meds they give isn't working and he needs stronger meds. Nothing else will help a reflux baby. My 1st would gag and choke every feeding and puke EVERYWHERE. She also cried 24/7.

@halifax6, I bought her a taco thing that she sleeps in keeps her elevated sometimes she puked but being elevated really helps she used to choke to I woke up one night and she was choking and purple scared the fuck out of me n sometimes it helps to not give the meds I stopped and she improved also I switched to avent anti colic bottles it is a miracle worker for reflux and also switched formula to enfamil neuro pro gentlease and it’s a miracle she was so fussy and cried all the time had gas then I switched her and she’s perfect now

@halifax6, if the meds aren’t helping it’s probably not acid reflux I’m going thru that now I stopped the meds and again switched to that formula and bottle and she doesn’t cry at all anymore

@kristahuff99 I did all the switching formula, finding something he would sleep in and added probiotics when he was about 6 weeks. Since then he hasn't had anything like this. He spits up a lot, but this was different. Seems odd that it just stared back up randomly. Glad you found stuff that works! I've refilled the meds, gonna give it another try!
