The story of “bobby pins”
My father passed away from cancer in 2009. He was on hospice care and home because he wanted to be comfortable and at home with his family. He would always tell us the story of how his mother would use bobby pins to curl her hair and that he would always find them laying around the house as a child. That was his memory and reminder of his mother. He told my daughter and I to look for “bobby pins” once he’s gone. Ever since he passed we would find random bobby pins on special occasions, holidays, new baby arrivals, good moments in our lives and even sad and bad moments. When I first moved into my new house I found a single black bobby pin inside. Now I am packing up to move to our new house and I was kind of sad doing it. I know this bobby pin was not in my cabinet because I already cleared the shelf. I turned around and there it was waiting for me to find. I think that was he way to let me know that’s he still here and that everything will be fine. “Thank you” dad for letting me know you’re always here...especially when I need you the most. I’ll always love you and never forget about you ! This special bobby pin will go into the box with all of the others ones I have found throughout my life.
Thank you for sharing something so personal and uplifting! Your dad is definitely watching over you 💕💕
