Morning ladies my baby is having what looks like chest retractions.... it’s like he’s breathing hard and it’s off and on…

I think it’s normal, could be him still getting use to being out of the womb, could also be dreaming or something like that. If I can remember right I believe my daughter done it as well when she was a newborn.

I’m fairly certain it’s normal mama! If you’re concerned, give his pediatrician a call and speak to them or their nurse.

Definitely normal. My pediatrician even told me that in some cases she might stop breathing for a few seconds. He's just getting use to Earths air and it takes a few weeks for their bodies to adjust.

@briatta, don’t worry I still get up and check to see is my 14 month old is still breathing at night, probably gonna be the same way with the new baby.

My son did that also it wears off as the weeks go by he just stopped and he’s 4 months ❤️
