Why don't you find a movie you can watch together? Especially being kid free which is rare ..damn shower together something...together hahah

The kids would enjoy spending time with you watching movies and then your husband will want to go out and you'll be occupied with your kids

Cuz his ass plopped on the couch with the remote in his hand while I finished dishes. So I said, "oh, it's going to be that kind of night? Well, okay then."

When we dropped my youngest off he even told me: "I just want to watch my show and pass out on the couch." Apparently he didn't like my comment of "like every night you come home from work?" Because that is EXACTLY what he did.

I've given up 🤷‍♀️

I get it... he works so sitting at home is a luxury to him. But me? He thinks I enjoy these "breaks." After me telling him I don't & having the same conversation Every. Single. Time. Nothing changes. Therefore I don't waste my breath.

It might be different if I had friends, but I don't. Because I could just say, "have fun. Bye." But friends don't exist in my life.

@veronica1453 getting him out of the house is hard. Unless it involves work or breakfast. Other than that, it is pulling teeth while he makes every excuse possible.

I feel your pain. Every day off my husband “needs to relax”. 1. I’ve been stuck at home all week let’s do something. 2 I know what you do for a living. You don’t need to relax. Work is relaxing. It sucks. Wish you were closer. I’d be your friend (I also don’t have any) and let the two bumpkins home together to do nothing!!

@bigmama18 my husband works hard so that's why I try not to complain too much (to him 😉)... but it still doesn't make what I do any less. We own a lawn/landscape company so he's outside working in hot weather sweating his balls off 60+ hours a week. So I get it- he wants to "enjoy" quiet. I just wished he considered how I felt as well. Sadly, that's not the case. I mean... I care, but not enough to bring it up to him anymore. Therefore, I vent here 🤔

@nschlegel, maybe see if you can create a schedule where you go out once a month . That way it’s less spontaneous for him and he anticipates the day like work. My hubby is the same but I talked to him (several times) . Then I had to come up with a plan to get what I wanted and have a win-win. Maybe pitch an idea like that to him and see how it goes. I used to even keep a colander Lol I don’t have to any more because we have an understanding but it took a while 😉

@expectinggreatness the thing is, with our work, it needs to be spontaneous. We never know when he gets off work, what work is lined up, if rain/other weather holds him back... etc. I've tried doing the planning thing and it doesn't work 🤷‍♀️
