Did you tell the gf? I never went to the police when my ex bf assaulted me (I was blinded by love for his family) but I told his next gf what happened. Granted, her response was "oh he won't do that to me, he knows I'd leave immediately." 🙄 but at least she had a heads up.

This girl might blow you off, but if she starts to see signs, she'll at least have that in the back of her head.
