How long does it take for a circumcision to fully heal and what are the steps in taking care of it?…

for my son it took about a week to be fully healed, and i did what the doctors told me to do which was just a moist wash cloth and clean around it carefully and when the bandage fell off i did the same just being careful that i wasn’t rough. Honestly it was better than what i thought t would be i was scared at first to get it done for him but i do not regret it

Every baby is different, with my son it was super easy to take care of and healed really fast but after a few months we noticed that it was starting to “stick” back together but the doctor said it was nothing we did or didn’t do it was just because he has naturally sticky skin down there. They just easily pulled it back apart and it was totally fine. The aftercare is really easy too we were told not to pull the skin back or anything so after a few days you can bathe them to clean it just with warm water and then you use Vaseline to put on it and I put some on the diaper too to keep it from sticking.

1-2 weeks

My son had it done at less then 24 hours old and he healed within a week. They said to put Vaseline on it for 2 weeks which we did. But it was healed I just did it to make sure! And they also said not to bathe him until the two weeks was up just sponge baths. He literally just lost his cord yesterday at 17 days. So we can finally give him a real bath.

My sons healed fully within like 1-2 weeks and we just kept a big glob of vaseline on it every time we changed his diaper so it wouldn’t stick

It took both of my sons about a week to fully heal, but we used aquaphor.
