Ok so after the episode of the 3hr long braxon hick i am trying to decide if i should ask my midwife to check if i am somewhat dilated at my appt today... but i am not sure if i should do that 1) because it doesn't really mean much in terms of when the baby is gonna show up 2) because its really unconfortable BUT i am still curious...should I? or not.. what has been your experience in terms of cms-delivery date STM

36w is still a bit early but I'd ask anyway just in case to see if any progress has been made already and if so then you'll know

I started getting checked at 35 weeks so it doesn’t hurt to ask if you’re really curious. It won’t change anything as long as your midwife doesn’t check too aggressively or do a membrane sweep
