I’m a bit nervous now so I got called for a job interview and obviously they drug test and on Saturday I had a gallbladder attack and took my last pain med from my c-section because it was just unbearable and threw the bottle away not thinking. I’ve went through all of the trash in my house and can not find the bottle, would my Ob be able to write out something saying they were prescribed to me if they ask?

They test for opiates and it was a hydrocodone so it would show up I’m just hoping if it does I can call and have her write something saying they were mine, if not I guess I’m dumpster diving lol

It doesn't matter if the prescription was from a month ago. If you took something that was prescribed to you, it doesn't matter when you take it as long as it's not expired. So with opiates they usually expire in one year. whoever wrote the RX can verify for you that it was legit should it still show up when you take your test.

@dass72608, okay thank you that makes me a lot less nervous. This place is super strict with their drug policy they cleared out their employees by random drug testing so They’re hiring a bunch of people im sure they’d have no problem just saying no to me if it does show up and I can’t prove my prescription.

@ella_j_heart, I took the last one around noon yesterday and my interview is tomorrow at midnight, it’s through the actually company so I’m not sure if they will refuse or not. I’ll just drink some water and call for a note in the morning so I’ll have something to bring with me in case. I can only try to be prepared.

I would just explain you just had a baby, a C-section is major surgery. They can't deny you the job if you're taking/took something that was yours 😀 but maybe just call your Dr ahead of time if possible.

Also, the pharmacy can print out a list of your prescription medications and that will show that the medication was prescribed to you.

Update it was already out of my system but I took papers and informed them before the drug test, they said if I had failed and didn’t have proof they were mine I’d have to wait 6 months to reapply. I start a week from Monday y’all! Thank you ladies
