Fur baby question:
We have two female cats (they are both spayed). They have both lived with us for almost two years, and have always gotten along perfectly. So perfectly, they would always cuddle each other while they slept. We moved to a new house in a new town this weekend (Friday was our first night here) and ever since we have moved one of our cats keeps hissing, yowling, and trying to fight our other cat. Idk wtf is going on. I want to remedy this ASAP because I want both cats to be comfortable. The cat that keeps getting attacked was formerly abused by her previous owners. She’s very stressed about the move as it is and I don’t want the other cat making it worse. I don’t want to re-home either of them because my four year old is very attached to them both. We are under contract with an animal shelter, if we can’t keep either cat they would have to go back to that shelter and I cannot do it. I really can’t. Any advice would be so so appreciated.

Are you able to separate them for a while until they get use to the new place? That could be the cause for the sudden change.

I think this will be temporary. Cats do not like change. Try to keep them separated as much as possible.

@rowdy-vajazzy, @morelhunter, @incognit0, @db413, thank you guys. I’ve been separating them as much as I possibly can but unfortunately they share a litter box and water bowl. My cat goes out of her way to go find the other cat, she’s being such a dick. And every time the poor cat that used to be abused comes up to me the other cat gets super territorial and fights her over it. I hope this ends soon. I think it will be temporary also, they’re must be a cat next door or something on top of all this new hole stuff that’s been sprang on the poor things.
