So I had my son at the ER 2 nights ago. He randomly started getting these weird rashes and blotches all over his body. At first I thought it was a spider bite or something.. I seem it on his leg while changing his diaper.. But then I seen more and more all over his body just randomly appearing. So I thought maybe he was allergic to something but couldn't figure out what. We haven't changed anything, or have been doing anything different. Then they started going away after we gave him a little benadryl. Later on they come back, different spots and worse than before. So decided to take him to the ER.. Well doctor said he has Fifth disease. A viral infection and he's allergic to it. 😒😒 Has anyone else gone through this before? He said no medicine.. The less the better that I'm just to let it run its course. The rashes don't bother him but has been coughing and been cranky. I hate seeing my baby boy like this and nothing I can do. And it can take weeks to go away 😭😭

My son goes through the same thing, if you notice him starting to itch then simple hydrocortisone cream and Benadryl. It will go away in about 2 weeks. Also follow up with your doctor and ask them to check his ears for an ear infection. For some reason my son ends up with an ear infection a few days after the rash flares up. You also may want to consider taking him to an allergist and having them do an allergy test and have his adenoids checked.

Don’t be alarmed I forgot to mention the rash gets a lot worse during the first week but it will start to clear up soon.

My oldest son had this when he was about two and they recommended no giving him any medicine either they actually admitted him in the hospital for about two days cause I was so worried to bring him home I was like it looks like moving rashes what am I supposed to do and he stayed after two days then were gone but he was so drained
