So I want opinions on this! I just read on the internet that its okay to give your baby a tiny smudge of real food in their first weeks of life because it could possibly help reduce the risks of allergies to certain foods. I was just curious because my bf was asking what age she could start real food. I mean I would never give my baby food before they were allowed. What are your opinions on giving baby a tiny smudge of real food?
I believe they are doing their baby a disservice and need to stop trusting the internet
@snookster1644 late to this lol. I personally wouldn't and I hope people listen to the more updated research which is currently 6 months I believe.
Although, my youngest daughter's pedi says they recommend introducing any allergen foods before 1 year if it runs in the family. Only in small increments and no other foods during that time. I'm unsure of the research on that but he's pretty up to date on everything from what I can tell
Between 4-6 months is when baby is allowed food going off their interest of food but not before 4months is what my pediatrician told me at my daughters 4month check now at 5months we just started actual baby food
