So tell me why my mother in law told me 2 months ago that she would be doing my baby shower and as of now hasn’t brought it up again. Now I’ve got my mom worrying about it because we haven’t heard anything from the person who volunteered to throw it for me. The baby shower date is like 5 weeks away ughhh I shouldn’t stress out but now I’m just like so over it because she hasn’t contacted me or anything 😭😭😭

@rgar7623, that's what i did. and my MIL was like "oh, that's fine" she sounded super relieved so i'm glad i said it, otherwise i probably wouldn't have had a baby shower😒
I almost don’t even feel like having one. Like why have my mom spend more money than she already has (she’s bought stuff for the baby and was going to give money towards the shower) when we can just use the money to buy the few things we need idk I’m just being pessimistic sorry you guys
if she hasn't budged even after the reservation being made, then i would be like "hey, moms asking if you're still throwing it, if not she will"

Don’t trust men family. And do something simple. Like a diaper party, give everybody your registry.
@rgar7623, it doesn't need to be expensive! my shower was at my house, i had my family bring food like a potluck, i had soda, a cake, cupcakes, and a few dollar tree decorations, plastic ware. it was like 40$, I got some awesome gifts even though nobodyyyy bought off the registry besides out of state family. 🤦🏽♀️
