Morning girls. I'm having a little freak out. Earlier this morning I was laying on my phone playing games and all of a sudden I ended up with this kinda flash-bang effect in my vision. I could barely see? Everything was swirling lights. This has happened to me twice over the week and lasts about 5minutes. I've never had vision problems before. It's also left a bit of a sting in my head. I Googled it and it could be related to preclampsia or just problems with blood pressure. I've tried getting hold of my midwife n no answer. I've rang tesco pharmacy asking if they can run over my blood pressure and they can after 1. Should I be doing more or is that enough?

@chelseamomoftwins @ezchaz I'm just thinking that by the time I get to the hospital and get seen too I could already have had my blood pressure checked out at the pharmacy in 40 minutes time. It's picked up by that aswell isn't it? xx

@ezchaz yeah my boyfriends coming along. It's his birthday so if I can avoid a lug out to the hospital I'd prefer too. I've left her a message already explaining it but she might not run over weekend. I dunno. I'll nip tesco soon as find out the score and if they suggest moving to hospital I'll go there xx

If your blood pressure check was ok you need the backs of your eyes looked at.

@willow.gray I've had my blood pressure looked at. It's low, they've told me to make my midwife aware but there's no need to panic. Generally feel okay x

@clarelushx pregnancy can cause retinal detachment, which causes flashes in your eyes. Its unlikely but women have gone blind from it.

@willow.gray Blimey, that's scary. I'll get it looked at properly next week. If it would have stayed like that, I would have been pretty much blind. I honestly could barely make anything out, objects had big lights around them making it impossible to see them. Luckily I feel fine now. But it has happened twice and I really don't want it to effect my vision permanently. If I have time on Monday I'll pop into an opticians x

@willow.gray oh no. I totally agree! Especially with something as precious as your sight. It's not something I want to damage and a check up is only two minutes so it's best to do really x
