My 8 month-old is constipated and in a lot of pain is there anything the ER can do?

@incognit0, I’ve tried the exercises were I lift his legs. I’ve pressed on his belly the way DR.OZ on tv has said to do. I’ve tried holding his but cheeks apart to help him. I’ve been giving him constipation ease drops for the past two days. When he poops it’s a light green color and it’s really runny, and then other times it’s a hard light brown stool. And the doctor he goes to , I don’t believe they have a on-call number

@incognit0, the one day he strained really hard to poop and it was hard and also it made him bleed a little but after he passed the stool he seemed normal and happy again so I didn’t worry too much. I am a first time mom and I worry too much and I’m over protective. I just don’t want to think it’s just my anxiety and then something happens and it’s not just anxiety, ya know?

I agree with the rectal temp and putting some Vaseline at the tip. Tummy massages. And an oz of either apple or prune juice. If that fails, they may have you get a baby glycerin suppository.

How long has it been since he’s gone? Breast or formula?

They might give him a stool softener but I agree. Try prunes.
