How long did you wait before taking your newborn outside? #NewMom p.s. I had to repost this because…

About a week or so. But we didn’t stay out long. And we were in the shade. But my son was jaundice so sun was good for him.

i cant remember but if we did go outside it wasnt for a walk or anything of that nature it was to go to grandmas😭😭i probably started taking her out out at a little closer to three months we would go to the mall and stuff

Just yesterday . We went to target and Walmart. She was in her car seat covered up the whole time .

Wait what does it mean should you not take newborns outside????

I took baby girl out when she was week old. But only for like 10 mins. I take her out now once in awhile up to 20 mins but only if its not super hot and sunny

Ohh u mean like taking her out in public and car trips. Right away lol

I didn’t take my son outside or public places until he got his first round of shots ...

@scared_shtless, you do but at the beginning it is better to keep them home while they build up their immune system and stuff. I personally think its okay to take them out to the street after the first 2/3weeks or so but honestly you don't even notice because you are healing too so whenever you feel like you are ready to be out i guess you can take them out. I took my baby out to my in laws after the first week

Not too long honestly, probably only a few days? We just got a car seat cover for him one of the thin ones since it was summer and took him out with us. He didn’t leave the car seat and nobody touched him it was fine
