My daughter still hasn’t pooped in 3 days, all drs and nurses I’ve spoken with say it’s normal. She screamed all day except for when she’s asleep and she just started up again ( 6:30-7 pm is when it usually gets really bad). We weee going to go get ice cream so I could get out of the house but she’s busy screaming bloody murder and wanting to stay in my boob, so I just told them to go without me 😥 This is so depressing and it keeps me from being able to do things like this with my son too. Colic is literally the worst thing ever.

Could it be a milk allergy? My son had a milk allergy and silent reflux. Once we got that under control it was so much better

@kbbaybee16, I cut dairy, gluten, etc. saw no improvement AND the LC, 2 nurses, and pediatrician I asked about it all said that research shows the diet change can be ineffective unless there is an actual allergy and in that case she would be showing symptoms other than being fussy and gassy. Like vomiting, blood in stool, green mucousy stool.. etc. all of which she has none. Don’t know much about silent reflux... what are the symptoms?

@babyjjsmommy, ok figured I’d mention. Maybe soy as well. Silent reflux they take forever to drink. May cry when drinking. Will arch their backs and cry. Spitting up/vomiting etc

@kbbaybee16, hmmm it’s possible.. I’ll have to ask her pedi about that. She doesn’t spit up much except when she gets overfill from wanting to nurse a lot

My son had this problem....granted it was 15 yrs ago but they told me back then to stimulate his bum by rubbing it with a qtip...I was scared at first but it worked like a charm....he went right to sleep afterwards...

My son was a colic baby as well and had didn’t poop for a week it was the milk I changed it to enfamil nutramigen they say it’s better for baby’s with constipation because basically the ingredients is in smaller portions for baby stomach and it helped my son when i laid him down and rub on his stomach but I think you should talk to her doctor about nutramigen

My guess is she cluster feeding again probably a growth spurt try pumping to help your milk flow Shes just trying to increase your milk supply forher needs help her out with the pump cluster feeding normally stops after a week or two and forbreast feed babies is completly normal for them to not poop for a week or so my daughter is 14 months all breast feed and poops maybe1-2 a week. Thats with solid foods. So don't worry too much about pooping esspecally with breast feeding
