@kharvell18845, at our first two visits (age 1 and 1 1/2) my husband held my daughter in his lap while the dentist looked at her teeth and gums. We were in his office. He demonstrated how to brush her teeth. She didn’t sit in the patient chair until she turned 2 and had an actual cleaning.

@kharvell18845 I honestly would say as soon as they sprout of their first 6 teeth. my dd did great!!! She loves her dentist and so do I. He plays games with the kids and sings to them when they're scared. He lets them wear his watch and jewelry if they like it. And he's always just super happy and funny!!!

@sunflowerfields I took my daughter when she was 2. They say you can start taking them to the dentist as soon as they start sprouting their teeth. But my DD was too when we went for the first time.
