My poor babe screamed from about 7 pm up until now (11). I know she needs to poop and I don’t know what else to do to help her. On call nurse said I’m doing everything she knows to do and just to keep it up. I’m just glad she’s finally resting, I know she’s worn out. Still breaks my heart to see her in pain like that and not being able to fix it 😥

My son has had the exact same problem but they dont want to give him medication. They told me to use Gerber apple juice (1 ounce or less) and karo syrup (a teaspoon or less) you can use the karo in every other bottle. The doctor said that babies can't digest the fructose corn syrup so it just works as a laxative. You may not need to use as much of these two things as I do. Just a little bit of one or the other. It takes a few hours but I promise it works. Good luck and I hope her tummy feels better!

try looking up baby massage for tummy problems it worked wonders for us

👆 Vaseline on a q tip worked for me. Def try it. If her constipation doesn't ease up within a day then I would put her on enfamil reguline. It's the only thing that worked to stop it all together.

@nathansmommy1418, I’ll ask her pedi today about that.. she still hasn’t pooped. She’s probably going through a spurt so my sure if that’s why. @kellyjc, I’ve been massaging her belly, is it something other than that? @raquely, I took her rectal temp like that to make sure she was afebrile and so that should’ve stimulated the same way. It didn’t help 😔@mpmcgavock, I’m breastfeeding, is that a formula? I’m trying to do everything I can to keep breastfeeding

It's formula. I was trying to breastfeed too and he was about a month old when I had the same issue so I switched to formula.
