Some don’t wait . I did with both of mine but I also had 3rd degree tear with my first and a little one with my 2nd. I would tell her to wait . There’s always other ways to take care of the significant other

I did at 4 weeks and checked out okay and good at 6 weeks pp check up

You can and some people do with no problems. My ob with my first didn't tell me not to and at my 6 week appointment just asked if I had yet. My ob with my second "cleared" me at 6 weeks. I waited both times, 12 weeks after my first and 7 after my second, because of all the scary things pp mentioned. At the very least I would wait until 4 or 5 weeks minimum and for there to have been no bleeding for a week or so and no pain
