Had my first appt with new doctor while I’m in Georgia still and she’s sending me to a specialist ultrasound next week 🤔 I’m wondering why my first doctor didn’t do the same and didn’t inform me of my potential risk of preterm labor...
@amw322 Usually when you have a underlying issue they also have you see a specialist jointly. But, obviously dependent on the doctor. Maybe they will just check you out only this one time.... I take baby aspirin for pre e from last pregnancy but they claim it helps with the overall condition of the placenta and high blood pressure (which I didn't have but u was spilling protein). I remember a few ladies with other issues not related to pre e were prescribed the same, so it was a presumption for your condition. Let us know, im no doc lol
@amw322 Okay that makes total sense, you should be seeing a fatel specialist along with your primary obgyb. Sounds like she's being more proactive. I wonder if they may prescribe you baby aspirin once daily until delivery? Seems like they do it with a lot of underlined issues... Keep us informed. Well wishes.
@angelfoodcake, I have hypothyroidism and I just found out that it’s linked to preterm birth around 35 weeks or even delivering closer to 37 weeks rather than 40
