How many centimeters dilated do you have to be to get admitted into the L&D?

All hospitals are different like my hospitals requirements are at least 4cm with contractions unless being induced

I was having inconsistent contractions at 4cm. My dr was going to send me to walk. Asked for a membrane strip. He realized I was 5cm and sent me as a direct admit

I was sent home at 5.5cm. So it all depends when you’ll be *admitted

-Early Labor Phase –The time of the onset of labor until the cervix is dilated to 3 cm.

-Active Labor Phase – Continues from 3 cm. until the cervix is dilated to 7 cm.

-Transition Phase – Continues from 7 cm. until the cervix is fully dilated to 10 cm.

My hospital won't admit until you're in active labor (after 3 cm) and are having consistent contractions. I was at the hospital with consistent contractions but I was stuck at a 3 so they had me get up and walk for about 30 minutes and then after that I was dilated to a 5. Then I got admitted.

Mine wouldn’t take me at 5 cm you had to be in active labor there

mine was 3.

I was 5cm having contractions every min all the way effaced and they sent me home

@keilaa my hospital sucks lol. Needless to say my midwife personally sent me the next day and she yelled till they admitted me
