I was enjoying my appointment today until the woman mentioned that they will induce if I go to 39…

What was the rationale behind that?!?

What in the heck is wrong with all these doctors in the USA and their plans to induce and talking about it so far in advance. With my three children I only had one discussion of induction which was at my 39 week appt with my first and my dr said she would schedule to induce if I went one week overdue, I never got to that point. You are the second person this week I’ve read about at 30 weeks and dr is ready to induce the other girl said at 37 weeks due to her baby being big 🙄

@laniejay None. This was my first time at this office, she was explaining their practice and apparently that is the way they do things.

@mimixtmn No idea what is going on with Drs. I had my 1st early, but it was natural, my water broke out of nowhere. To see her struggle through that only being several weeks early. No thank you. I will carry until the baby is ready to come.

That's ridiculous.

@sadie.w It seems like it's just their normal practice. But I don't agree with induction unless medically necessary (for myself, I'm not too concerned with what anyone else decides to do).

This induction thing seems like it's a trend. My doc told me that i should consider it today. Its a no for me. Bby will come when she is ready
